DAY 1 - NJP/IXB TO GANGTOK TRANSFER
Travel Distance The distance from Siliguri (NJP/IXB) to Gangtok is approximately 125 kilometres (around 5 to 6 hours by road). After you arrive at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), your driver will be waiting for you with a signboard displaying your name. He will assist you with your luggage, after arrival start your scenic drive to Gangtok from NJP/IXB. Overnight at Gangtok.
DAY 2 - GANGTOK TO LACHEN TRANSFER
Drive 135 kilometers, 5 6 hours drive Chungthang is 96 kilometers from Gangtok After breakfast head towards Lachen around 9.30 Lunch at Chungthang Lachen is 35 kilometers from Chungthang Reach Lachen late afternoon early evening - The snowcapped peaks, the Shingbha wild life sanctuary, Gurudongmar Lake, Chopta Valley, Thangu are the major attraction Its a valley surrounded by gigantic and humbling snow peak mountains and the starting point of Green Lake Trek In fact the village cradled between stern, tall rock faces standing like guards A hamlet with very few people Check into a hotel Overnight stay at Hotel in Lachen
DAY 3 - GURUDONGMAR LAKE TO LACHUNG
Transfer Early morning Visit to Gurudongmar Lake 55 kilometers, 3 hours’ drive A valley at an altitude of 11800 feet through which Lachen Chu flows, generally covered with snow from December to April or even more is known as the Holy Sacred Lake Next drive through the cold desert till Tibet China After lunch proceed to Lachung Nearly 50 kilometers and two hours drive Check into hotel at Lachung Evening free - Overnight stay at Hotel at Lachung
DAY 4 - YUMTHANG VALLEY TO GANGTOK
After breakfast drive towards Yumthang situated at an elevation of nearly 11800 feet - Yumthang is a valley near the river Lachung Chu surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends - In spring the valley erupts in riots of colors as Primulae, Rhododendrons and many other Alpine flowers in full bloom along with snow covered valley except in autumn - During winter Yumthang is somber with snow all around and the snow clad mountains adding to the ethereal beauty - Transfer to Gangtok – Reach Gangtok in the evening – Check into hotel – Night stay at Gangtok
DAY 5 - Gangtok City Tour
After Breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing visit Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Flower Show, Hanuman Tok, The Cottage Industry and Directorate of Handloom and Handicrafts,(closed on Sunday) ,Institute of Tibetology, (closed on Sunday) Do Drul Chorten, Ropeway (On Direct payment) and Bakthang Falls. Overnight at Gangtok.
DAY 6 - Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
After breakfast head towards Tsomgo Lake, which is also known as Changu Lake, is one of the most enchanting and iconic attractions near Gangtok, Sikkim. It’s a glacial lake situated at an altitude of 3,753 meters (12,313 feet) in the East Sikkim district, about 40 km (25 miles) from Gangtok. • Enjoy the serene beauty of the glacial lake, surrounded by snow capped mountains. • Optional: Yak rides (extra charge), Ropeway, local food stalls for snacks and tea. Visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir The temple which is dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, an Indian Army soldier from Punjab who, according to legend, continues to guard the region even after his untimely death. Baba Harbhajan Singh served in the Indian Army and was posted in this high-altitude area near the India-China border. Nathu La Pass to Republic of China is nearly 20 kilometers and is optional tour- Back to Gangtok Nathula Pass : Can be done on payment basis one day prior to the journey (INR 5500) Nathula Pass is one of the most iconic and historically significant mountain passes in India, located on the India-China border in East Sikkim, at an altitude of 4,310 meters (14,140 feet) above sea level. The pass connects India with Tibet and is part of the ancient Silk Route, historically used for trade between India and China. This is a restricted area and special permits are required to visit the same. Permits are granted only between Tuesdays to Sunday and can be cancelled anytime for security or weather conditions.The permits are applied only 01 day prior to the date of travel. Documents – We need the full names, ages and gender of the passengers 02 days prior to the date of travel (by mail or WhatsApp). Copies of valid Indian Photo ID address proof and passport size photos will be collected 01 day prior to the date of travel from the guests directly on tour. Nathula Pass are subject to availability of permits & once the permit is issued and guests are not able to visit due to some natural calamities/Security reason, then the amount is non-refundable. Please note that from Baba mandir to Nathula Pass (approx. 7kms , both ways) the vehicle will be on a sharing basis but the costing will be the same.
DAY 7 - GANGTOK TO NJP/IXB TRANSFER
After your memorable trip to Lachung, it's time to head back to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) for your return journey.
